OMG my life is so interesting...not.

Basically I've just been cleaning for fun. Like, cleaning everything in sight. Today, I vacuumed and Swiffer wet-jetted the floors, and also polished all of my silver jewelry.
I also went to Target, that store is the devil. I only got what I came for (Swiffer, silver polish & shower hanging thingie for shower products) but I was sooo tempted to buy zebra pajamas and a big floppy sun hat. Then I realized that nobody ever sees me in my pajamas, and I don't go out in the sun. So those two things had to go.
I also finally bought food...I literally had a box of Kashi and some skim milk. And those two items weren't quite cutting it for sustaining me through the weekend.
Now I'm hungry but I don't really like eating dinner before its dark out. Okay lame, bye.

So I discovered a couple of new things this week:
#1- I can hear my neighbor's loud farts through the wall. Can they hear mine remains yet unanswered.

#2- The only way to make my hair look good curly is to wash and condition it upside down and apply products upside down....this results in me having my head upside down for a good part of the morning.

Sooo I spend most of my life obsessing about what car I'm going to buy. I test drive like twice a week and have been to every dealership at least 2-3 times (okay not EVERY dealership, obvi I'm not hitting up the BMW store). So I think I just need to buy a damn car and get over it. So that might happen this weekend...but the car I want is so hot right now so I might have to order one and wait for it to come in. When I get one, I'll post some sexy pics. And I'll be taking over Julia's spot in the garage.

I have bronchitis, so that's pretty exciting. It's actually not really a big deal, I think it was going away by itself, but my doc prescribed me some antibiotics so I should be feeling better by Monday. I can already speak without hacking flem on people, so that's a noticeable improvement. In other doctor news, I've lost so much weight. I suspected as much, based on my gym's scale, but wasn't totally sure until I stepped on the doctor's scale which they tell me is calibrated every 6 months, so you know that shit is accurate. I think that my new daily regemin of "sit on my ass all day watching Dr. Phil" should help to reverse the shrinking-Kate trend.
I haven't actually left the couch in several days, so today is going to be busy because I'm actually going to do some stuff. I will deposit some checks, pick up my meds. Plus I have like 100 bags of clothes to donate to Goodwill, and I have two pairs of jeans that need to go to a tailor (I found one in Modesto and if she fucks up my new jeans I'll stab her), and also, I need to go to Target.

OMG noelle thanks for telling me about Brett on Grey's...im listening to all his stuff on MySpace now. He totally needs to become famous, not just so I can know a famous person, but because his music is so awesome and different from anything out there. I don't even know him that well but I always remember like LOVING when he'd sing at CJH. Maybe he'll throw more crazy parties at his grandpa's house and I can crash.

Everyone who reads this has already heard me hate on KD, sooo onto something more positive. I have not done much on my 4 papers, but I DID go to cardio kickbox after work. The instructor is like so gay and totally shakes his booty, I love it. But there was this one annoying lady in the class who kept going "WOO!" I was like, chick you are waaay too enthused about this shit. I would have gone over and cardio-kickboxed her ass but she actually looked like she could kick my butt cause her cardio-kickboxing skills were pretty good.

AGH I'm going to kill my landlord from this summer. I got a check for my security deposit...but not for the entire thing, DESPITE the fact that he told me I was getting the whole thing back because I had nothing to do with any painting/damage in the building. Also, the guy who wrote the check had a heart attack, so I feel like I may never see the rest of the money. ARGH!

Hi gals,

I have a super cute Juicy zip-up (not hooded) for sale, please see behind the cut if you are interested:

I bought this for myself at Nordstrom Rack, but it ended up being too small. They only have a 30 day return policy, so I cannot return it and am selling it! It's a size P, or XS, made of velour, brand new with tags (they aren't visible in the pic, but are still attached), absolutely guaranteed authentic. The original retail is $88, I paid about $50 + tax for it, but will sell for $40 which includes shipping. I accept paypal, personal check, or money orders. Pics are below, please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for looking!
oh MY GOD, this is the last time I EVER go to Jimmy John's. I went there, and got a Turkey Tom with NO MAYO, NO MUSTARD (which isn't even supposed to come on the sandwhich). Guess what's on my sandwhich? Mayo AND mustard. So I take it back, and have them make a new one. Guess what's on that one! Mayo AND mustard. I even checked at the store and it didn't LOOK like there was mayo or mustard on it, so I thought I was okay, but I didn't look closely enough. I hate both of these condiments with a passion, if it was something else I probably would have shut up and eaten it. So, I just called to talk to the manager and they're delivering me one with no mayo, no mustard. Or so they say.

I just got this, so I'm excited! I got Kate though, not Lauren. I would have liked to get a gold one, but those are like $80 and sterling silver was only $21. They're from Israel soo...actually I hope that the like war and stuff going on over there isn't going to delay the shipment of my necklace. Anyway, the head of the whole office is gone, so I went into his office and ate some of his candy hahahahha.
Update from work again...today was 90 degrees and I had to spend almost all morning MAPPING. So I was out in the hot hot heat from 12-4, and now I am SUNBURNED. booooo!
The cable and internet have been down at the apt, and were supposed to get fixed today. Hopefully that happens cause I have to watch What Not To Wear! For the first time ever, my two roommates were actually around this morning, which i didn't necessarily like, because I'm used to having the bathroom, kitchen, etc. to myself in the morning. Also, Liz (one of the roommates) is a huge fucking bitch. She was talking about how she couldn't get a cab and I was like "I know what you mean, I stood outside on Tuesday waiting for a cab for like 10 minutes" and her response: Staring at me as if I had two heads. Fuck that.
I went to Ryan's last night where he made some cookies, except they turned out all flat, I think because he didn't mix the baking soda in well enough. Oh well, flat cookies still taste pretty good. I also fell off a chair which was REALLY embarassing. I was sitting on a kitchen chair with my leg under me, then Ryan is like "Will you put the butter back in the fridge" so I stood up and like, something happened with that foot, and I fell. Luckily that wasn't the first stupid thing I've done in front of him.
In other news, my credit card bill is about $650, aaaand I need a mani/pedi like WOAH.

Junior year of college: check.

I started my internship yesterday and it seems like it will be pretty fun. One of the ladies on my team seems not very friendly, but the other 2 women and the man were really nice and chatting with me and stuff. They didn't really have much for me to do, cause they were planning on getting started with me next Monday, so they were just like, "Why don't you go home and study" so I did.
Tomorrow is my *first ever* hair cut in Chicago...I'm going to Roque in River North which is supposed to be good. I am going to their most junior stylist though, because like, anyone above that is like $90. I'm not getting anything crazy done though, so I'm sure it will all work out pretty well.
After that me and Ryan are going shopping. I told him I'm not allowed to buy anything, then I added, except clothes for work. Then I got really depressed cause like, I have been spending too much lately and I don't have a good work wardrobe and didn't want to spend a lot of money to buy work clothes, so I cried and my dad sent me some money to pay rent and move and buy clothes. Ladies, you know how it works.

amount of $$ I spent furnishing my apartment < how much I pay for a bikini wax

I'm not sure what that says about me.

What a lovely day for me to buy stuff. I went to Old O specifically to buy this purifying mask at Bath and Body works, and they didn't have it! I was pissed, but bought some suuuuper cute round-toe black slingbacks at Nordstrom. Every $2,000 you spend on yoru Nordies card, you get a $20 Nordstrom gift certificate in the mail, so I used that toward the shoes.

I'll admit it, I love my shoes more when they come with a dustbag.

Then i went to Express and bought a very cute suit...I got the jacket, and for the bottom I got the skirt and the pants that match. Figure it will be nice to have some options. And I got this hot red button up shirt with sorta like ruffles on the front to go with it. They had the short pants capris type of thing in the same gray and they looked SO CUTE on, but I'm not sure if I can wear that sort of thing at work, so I didn't get them. I may go back for them if I can wear short pants in the office.

I was able to justify these purchases cause they're "for work." I mean, really they are, I'm not gonna like wear a suit to class. Speaking of which...I start work in TWO WEEKS. That's crazy!
Also, I got this foundation primer in this Smashbox makeup set for christmas, but I never used it so exchanged it at Sephora for this cool eyeliner.
Then, I went to pick up the $10 dresser I bought from Craigslist. It is very very nice for a $10 dresser, and will go great in my cheaply-furnished summer bedroom. So far, I've got a $10 TV, a $10 dresser, and a $20 desk that I've yet to pick up. Just need a chair and a mirror and I'm set. I have the bed figured out, but well, it's a secret.

I need one more BIP elective to graduate, and lucky me, guess what BIP elective is being offered in the fall? That's right friends, THE FASHION INDUSTRY: HOW AND WHY IT WORKS. There is very high demand for the class, so I had to write an application to try and get it. I tried to make it funny by throwing in an anecdote about the time my mom's boyfriend told me that having a drug habit would be less expensive than my denim habit. And, lucky for me that I'm working in retail services, because I tossed in some stuff about how I can share with the class a knowledge of tenant mix strategy and retail mapping in order to understand how real estate influences the places where fashion is bought and sold. Basically I'm a badass, and I'll be sad if I don't get in the class.

In other news, Saturday is my roomie's birthday! Friday night, she's going to Beta formal with her boyfriend, and Dina and I weren't invited, but we're crashing it to wish her happy birthday! This will either end with laughter and good times, or me being dragged out of the Hancock tower by large security personnel. I hope they handcuff me, that would be hot.
